TrustYou has built a world-class NLP pipeline for hotel reviews. We detect opinions in over 20 different languages natively. We then create human-readable summaries through a text generation engine. The end result is the TrustYou Meta-Review, which today you’ll find integrated on Google, Bing and hundreds of local travel sites. Our review summaries are seen by more than 500 million people every month – talk about having an impact!
We are looking for adventurers to join our smart and inspiring team! You will be part of the Semantic Analysis Team and have a chance to work with experienced NLP Engineers and Data Scientists and learn more about the state-of-the-art NLP practices and approaches. You will focus on the improvement of our semantic analysis of Japanese hotel and restaurant reviews, namely on improving our existing aspect based sentiment analysis NLP system. You will analyze hotel and restaurant reviews, extend our semantic dictionaries, create context-free grammars, as well as work on improving the technical aspects of existing NLP solutions in terms of span detection, tokenization and classification.
Starting date: March or April 2021
What do we expect from you?
* Matriculated student in Computational Linguistics or a related subject
* Very good proficiency of Japanese, preferably a native speaker
* Fluency in English
* Basic Python programming skills
* Basic understanding of Linux and Git
* Understanding of context-free grammars and experience with corpus processing
Nice to have
* Intermediate Python programming skills
* Familiarity with NLTK, spaCy and similar NLP frameworks
* Experience with Japanese NLP tools and approaches
* Experience in data mining, information extraction and/or machine learning
