The position
Come join us to build a small, impactful, high performing tech / product team. We value ownership, independence, collaboration, communication, and bias towards getting things done. The goal is to built the product in an agile and dynamic manner while frequently shipping code and iteratively improving from there. The product is not fully thought through yet. We offer the opportunity to actively take part in the process and to contribute to design and strategic decisions.
We are seeking a software engineer with a focus on web development / frontend. We use a modern tech stack and the frontend will be built with javascript / typescript with use of vue / svelte / react.
Responsibilities
– Build responsive and performant Web applications using vue / svelte and closely collaborate with product and backend
– Develop business-critical features in order to help achieve product vision and goals
– Practice and encourage software engineering best practices: appropriate modularisation, designing cohesive interfaces, defensive coding, API contracts, and making the call on technical trade-offs.
– Contribute across the entire frontend stack for new and existing products
– Participate in technical reviews to strengthen our architecture and system designs
Your main focus will be on building and maintaining multiple web applications in our platform. To do so we will build and continuously develop an extensive component library.
Qualifications
– At least some industry experience in software engineering building web applications (particularly with js / vue / svelte).
– Basic understanding of layout aesthetics. Combines user interface know-how with CSS, HTML, JavaScript.
– Ability to create, responsive, web pages while working with product designer(s). Bonus points for experience with software programs like Sketch, Zeplin and Figma.
– Pragmatic approach to engineering that strikes a balance between beautiful code, maintainability, and time to market.
